combine the latest technological advances with ancient skills and techniques. Good
bargains range from modern designs to excellent reproductions of ancient treasures.
Many gift shops and stores in major cities carry a selection, and night markets frequently
offer small curios or traditional earthenware tea sets.
Porcelain makers in Peitou (north of Taipei) and Yingko (to the southwest) allow
factory tours, which sometime include bilingual guides, and have good selections and
bargain prices.
